Tourism cooperation with Turkish Airlines expands
Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, Sanjar Tajiyev, met with the Head of the Tashkent Representative Office of Turkish Airlines, Hüseyin Güzel.
During the negotiations, the Uzbek side provided information on ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan’s tourism industry, infrastructure development, expansion of transport and logistics capabilities, and improvements in the quality of tourist services. The steady growth in the number of foreign visitors, as well as the airline’s contribution to promoting the country’s tourism potential on the international stage, was noted.
The parties discussed the possibility of conducting joint PR campaigns to promote the historical-cultural legacy of Uzbekistan, as well as pilgrimage, gastronomic, ecological, and MICE tourism in European markets, including Germany, the Scandinavian countries, Greece, and the United States. The proposed formats include roadshows, workshops, B2B meetings, and media tours for the target audience.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to further deepen the strategic partnership aimed at developing sustainable tourism, strengthening Uzbekistan’s international image, and increasing the flow of foreign tourists.
