Today's students, tomorrow's national future: NUUz welcomes a new generation
Studenthood is one of the most significant and unforgettable stages in a young person's life.
This is a period not only for acquiring new knowledge and skills but also for independent thinking, realizing one's potential, and taking bold steps toward the future. In particular, being a student at one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in our country—the National University of Uzbekistan—places a great responsibility on young people.

Today, a festive event was held at the National University of Uzbekistan under the slogan "As one nation, one people, we will build a new life and a new future!" The event was held on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan and to ceremoniously welcome the first-year students admitted to the university for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The event was attended by the university leadership, renowned scientists and academics, representatives of science and literature, the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, faculty, students, their parents, and members of the public.
Inom Majidov, Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan, sincerely congratulated the attendees on the 35th anniversary of our Independence and congratulated the university's newest members—the first-year students—on achieving student status.
