Third Uzbekistan – China Interregional Forum
The 3rd Uzbekistan – China Interregional Forum, one of the key platforms for practical dialogue among the regions, business, academic circles, and development institutions of the two countries, was held on May 21-22 in Xi'an, China.
It was attended by about 2,000 representatives from ministries and agencies of Uzbekistan and China, regional authorities, academic circles, business associations, leading companies, and the entrepreneurial community. The Made in Uzbekistan national pavilion, opened as part of the forum at the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center, will remain open until May 25.
During this period, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjayev, was in Xi'an for an expanded working visit. The visit program included participation in key events of the 10th Silk Road International Exposition and the 3rd Uzbekistan – China Interregional Cooperation Forum, including the Global Conference on Cooperation within the China-Europe Railway Express route. A series of bilateral meetings with representatives of government agencies and leading Chinese companies was also organized, with the Deputy Prime Minister participating.

More than 700 representatives from the governments and regional leadership of the two countries, ministries and agencies, and business circles took part in the opening ceremony of the forum and the 10th Silk Road International Exposition. In his speech, Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjayev emphasized that the forum is becoming an important platform for expanding practical cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and China and for developing new projects and identifying prospects.
As part of the forum, a series of sectoral panel sessions was held, during which prospects for cooperation in trade and investment, the green economy, digital technologies, scientific and technological innovation, modern agriculture, tourism, and entrepreneurship were discussed. Agreements were also reached on several investment and cooperation projects.

The Made in Uzbekistan national pavilion, held at the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center and covering a total area of 2,000 square meters, showcased Uzbekistan’s regional export and investment potential, opportunities in tourism, culture, and handicrafts, as well as promising areas in education.
One of the important events in the development of trade and economic cooperation was the launch of a national pavilion on the international platform Alibaba.com and the launch of the “100 Alibaba Accelerators” program.

A roundtable was held with the participation of leading Chinese companies, along with a series of negotiations with the management of leading Chinese companies operating in e-commerce, agricultural machinery, industry, technology, logistics, jewelry, investment, and agricultural development. In particular, talks were held with Hangzhou Huayi Zhilian Technology, Xinjiang Boshiran Intelligent Agricultural Machinery, Guangtongdi Holding Group, Shanghai Vision Group, Shenzhen Golden Palace Jewelry, and many others.
The delegation led by Mr. Khodjayev also took part in the Global Conference on Cooperation along the China – Europe Railway Express route, held as part of the 10th Silk Road International Exposition.
Mr. Khodjayev expressed confidence that the agreements, whose foundations were laid during the conference, would open new economic opportunities in Eurasia and deliver practical benefits to our countries, businesses, and peoples.
