An international forum is organized in the city of Doha – a Design Biennial established on the initiative of the leadership of the Qatar Museums Authority.

A press tour of the Qatar National Museum took place as part of this prestigious event. UzA correspondents prepared a photo report from the event, demonstrating the country’s rich history and cultural heritage.

This complex of unusual architectural style houses more than 8,000 historical documents, manuscripts, household items, textiles and clothing, jewelry, photographs, and archaeological artifacts.

The photo collection presents the external and internal design of the museum, which makes it possible to thoroughly study the history, culture and way of life of the country, including the period from the adoption of Islam, the creation of the state of Qatar, and the discovery of oil fields.

The museum also has a gallery consisting of three main sections – “Emergence”, “Life in Qatar”, and “Formation of a Nation”.

The National Museum of Qatar, which opened its doors to the public in March 2019, glorifies the country’s culture and heritage through artifacts, oral history, music, films, and various works of art.
