Trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan continues to strengthen. The opening of another Trading House of Uzbekistan for the sale of building materials in Dushanbe is of great importance in this.
This project, implemented on the initiative of the “O‘zsanoatqurilishmateriallari” Association, is aimed at expanding trade ties. This initiative lays the foundation for new opportunities for cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Board of the “O‘zsanoatqurilishmateriallari” Association Bakhtiyor Bobokulov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Tajikistan, entrepreneurs and media representatives of the two countries. The event participants got acquainted with the conditions created in the Trading House, the exhibition of products and their prices. B2B meetings were held between entrepreneurs of the two countries.
In 2024, building materials worth $115 million were exported to Tajikistan. In particular, these are metal and ceramic products, dry building mixes, cement, and PVC profiles. Negotiations are underway to increase exports of aerated concrete blocks, thermal insulation boards, natural stones, and wallpaper to Tajikistan.
As reported by the Association’s Information Service, the opening of the Trading House will increase the export of building materials and develop trade relations between representatives of the two countries’ business circles. It was also noted that the “O‘zsanoatqurilishmateriallari” Association has opened Uzbekistan trading houses in Baku and Kabul.
In short, opening the Trading House of Uzbekistan in Dushanbe is essential to strengthening trade and economic relations between the two countries. It is expected that this initiative will not only increase the volume of trade in the region, but will also create a new bridge for economic cooperation.
