Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov met with First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Reza Aref and Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade Seyed Mohammad Atabak in Tehran.

During the dialogue, the parties considered the current state of trade-economic cooperation, including implementing existing agreements and joint projects. Priority areas have been identified, and joint steps have been agreed to increase the volume of mutual trade. The parties focused on expanding opportunities for entrepreneurs within the framework of the preferential trade agreement between the two countries.

The dates of the regular 16th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission between Uzbekistan and Iran and the Joint Business Forum scheduled for the first quarter of 2025 have been agreed upon.

Following the talks, a protocol was signed, fully reflecting the agreements reached on further partnership development in the trade-economic, investment, and transport spheres.
