President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the heating plant No. 3 “Toshkent Issiqlik Markazi” enterprise in Shaykhantakhur district.
This complex was built in 1972. The 5 boiler houses operating here generate 400 Gcal of heat and supply it to 491 apartment buildings and more than 150 social institutions.
Last winter, due to a sharp cold snap, the natural gas supply pressure to the heating plant decreased, which negatively affected the heat supply to consumers. This year, the possibility of generating heat from alternative fuel has been created. In particular, a fuel oil facility was built, with two boilers adapted for hybrid operation – using gas and fuel oil. All boiler rooms have been renovated. A separate gas pipeline with a length of 4.6 kilometers is connected to the heating plant to ensure normal gas pressure.
As a result of the work done, the possibility of uninterrupted heat supply to consumers during the autumn/winter season has been created. In particular, heating networks can operate stably at temperatures up to 30 degrees Celsius. Fuel oil reserves will be used in this process. The insulation of the pipes has been strengthened, which has reduced heat loss. As a result, the population will be supplied with thermal energy at a temperature of at least 65 degrees.
Heating plant No. 5 was similarly modernized.
“It should be admitted that this system has not been given due attention for many years. Thermal enterprises worked on old resources using outdated methods. And the volumes of heat produced did not justify the costs. It was not possible to satisfy people or ensure the viability of enterprises. Taking into account last year’s trials and using existing capabilities, we are modernizing the heat supply. Now it is necessary to take measures to preserve and save heat”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
