The population is being trained to earn up to 250 million UZS from household plots
During a visit to Fergana region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the activities of the Quva Agrostar enterprise.
In Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector, special attention is paid not only to production but also to creating high-value-added products, increasing processing volumes, and directing output to export markets. For this purpose, the company Uzagrostar Holding has been established, under whose auspices specialized agricultural complexes have begun operating in 21 districts.

One of the main problems in the sector has been the fragmentation of the production chain. Dehkan farmers grew produce, but their opportunities for storage, sorting, and packaging, as well as access to foreign markets, were limited. Specialized agro-complexes are addressing this gap.

Among such enterprises is Quva Agrostar. Located in Quva district, the complex integrates the processes from cultivation through storage, processing, packaging, and export of 12 product types, with an annual volume of 5,000 tons.

Modern technologies imported from Italy, Spain, Germany, and China, along with international certifications such as Global GAP, ISO 22000, Halal, and HACCP, help strengthen product quality and build trust in the national brand.

As a result of a systematic approach, products were shipped by air to demanding markets such as Japan and South Korea for the first time in 2025. This year, it is planned to export products worth $25 million.

Cooperative ties have been established with 3,000 households across 33 mahallas and with 1,000 dehkan farmers in the district. The population is being trained in practices to generate up to 250 million UZS in income from a 0.1-hectare household plot.

A presentation was also held here on the work underway to train the population in the effective use of household plots and the deep specialization of mahallas.

It was noted that a household plot should become not just an additional source of income but an effective area of family entrepreneurship. The need was emphasized to train the population in practical skills, including selecting seeds, properly implementing agrotechnical measures, achieving high-quality yields, preparing products to meet market demand, and packaging goods in accordance with export standards.

The Head of State highly praised the results achieved by Quva Agrostar, emphasizing the importance of efficient land use, deep processing of products, and export orientation to create high-value-added products and, most importantly, to significantly increase the incomes of dehkan farmers and household plot owners. It was determined that, for these purposes, an experimental agricultural system based on advanced agrarian technologies will be introduced on 50,000 hectares of land in Fergana region.
