The number of cars on our streets is increasing every day, which causes traffic jams and road accidents.
Several measures are being implemented to eliminate such situations. However, the increasing number of road users, the lack of parking spaces, and other factors make solving the problem difficult.
The People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan believes it is necessary to strengthen measures to ensure road safety, prevent deaths, and reduce traffic jams. To this end, the party puts forward several proposals in this direction. In particular, it is proposed to develop the public transport system and make public transport stops convenient for the population. The party promotes such initiatives as the creation of an ecosystem of paid parking, the introduction of a mandatory requirement for the availability of parking spaces when constructing new residential buildings, incentives for civil servants who commute to work by public transport, and restrictions on the movement of personal transport on certain days of the week (based on the parity of license plate numbers).
In addition, the PDPU believes that citizens should be informed at least ten days in advance about planned repair work and its duration, streets should be organized without cars, and more pedestrian and bicycle paths should be created.
Implementing these initiatives will contribute to the efficient use of public transport.
