The OTS Regional Water Forum was organized in Brussels by the OTS, the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA), and the Drought Prevention Institute (DPI) of the OTS.

According to OTS, the event brought together heads of diplomatic missions of the OTS Member States, observers accredited in the Kingdom of Belgium, and high-level officials, experts, and stakeholders to address pressing challenges in water management and sustainability across the Turkic States and beyond. 

The agenda of the Forum focused on fostering regional cooperation, advancing sustainable water technologies, and exploring investment opportunities for green growth.

In his keynote address, Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), emphasized the critical importance of regional collaboration in addressing water scarcity and climate challenges. He highlighted the role of the OTS in uniting Member States to develop innovative solutions and strengthen resilience against droughts and other environmental threats.

The forum featured discussions on the role of partnerships in providing effective water technology solutions. The representatives of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), and other international organizations were actively involved in the discussion at the Forum. 

As part of the event, the OTS Drought Prevention Institute briefed the participants about its mission, objectives, and initiatives. 

During the forum, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between HEPA, the Hungarian Association of Environmental Enterprises (HAEE), and KEXPORT Cluster to deploy technology solutions and capacity building for the Turkic States.
