The Octagon-68 mixed martial arts (MMA) competition was held at Tashkent’s Humo Arena sports complex.

The main fight of the tournament was between the flyweight athlete from Uzbekistan, Anvar Abdullayev (9-0), and the holder of the temporary Interim championship belt, Azerbaijani Farid Alibabazade (13-8-1). By unanimous decision of the judges, A. Abdullayev won.

For Anvar Abdullayev, this was the second fight to defend his championship belt. The first took place in December 2023 as part of the Octagon-53 tournament, where he defeated another Azerbaijani athlete, Royal Leylizade.

Also, at the Octagon-68 tournament, Uzbekistan’s Jasur Bebetov, Khabib Gaziyev, Asadbek Saidov, Sardorbek Ruziyev, Islom Boltayev, Azamat Nuftillayev, Odilkhon Kamolov, and Shokhasan Mirzamatov won in their weight categories.
