On February 27, the presentation of the project “Building New Tashkent City” took place in the capital within the framework of the International Conference of the Construction Industry “ICCI 2024”.
This event, organized by the international organization CCA and several local organizations, was attended by domestic and foreign experts and the general public.
The participants focused on the work within the framework of ensuring the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of July 20, 2023 “On measures to build New Tashkent city”. In accordance with this document, the Directorate for Building New Tashkent City was established under the Cabinet of Ministers.
The master plan for the first stage has already been developed and is at the approval stage. A draft detailed layout of the territory of the first stage has been prepared. Based on the master plan of the first stage in 2024-2026, it is planned to build the National Library, National Drama Theater, Alisher Navoi Creative School and Maqom Center, a new campus and educational facilities of the New Uzbekistan University, Webster University, as well as transport and engineering infrastructure facilities of the city.
Information on implementing LEED, BREEAM, and EDGE standards in green construction to regulate construction activities and improve the use of energy and water resources, the living conditions of the population, and the ecological state in New Tashkent were presented at the conference. The strategies for the implementation of this project were also discussed.
It should be noted that 21 projects have been prepared to develop the territory of New Tashkent. Negotiations are underway with investors who have expressed interest in these projects.
