A ceremonial enlightenment event dedicated to Uzbek Language Day was organized at the Palace of International Forums “Uzbekistan”.
The Presidential Advisor Khayriddin Sultanov read out the festive congratulations from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Uzbekistan people on Uzbek Language Day.
As was noted at the event, in recent years, the issue of preserving the native language and further enhancing its authority has been given attention at the level of state policy in Uzbekistan. For these purposes, such structures as the Department of State Language Development, the Uzbek Language Development Fund, the Center for Teaching the Basics of Office Work in the State Language and Advanced Training at the Tashkent State University of the Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi were created under the Cabinet of Ministers.
Foreign students studying in the country and representatives of different nationalities read excerpts from poems by Uzbek poets. Their sparkling eyes reflected their interest in learning the Uzbek language, true respect for it, and love for it.
The participants were greatly interested in the videos about the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan to develop the native language, as well as Saidrizo Alizoda, who knows 14 languages perfectly, an excerpt from the play based on the work of the people’s poet of Uzbekistan Usman Azim “Kunduzsiz Kechalar” (“Endless Nights”).
The concert program, which included masters of art and young performers, gave the event a special spirit.
