Kuwait hosted the 90th meeting of the Executive Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). The participants discussed the organization’s immediate plans and preparations for major complex competitions.

The event was attended by the Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia, First Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee Otabek Umarov, Secretary General of the Committee Oybek Kasimov, Chairman of the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan Azizjon Komilov.

The participants got acquainted with the latest news on the organizational issues of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, which were included in the agenda. Representatives of the OCA Executive Committee made reports, and the OCA standing committees presented reports on their activities. During the discussions, an agreement on the autonomy of the organization’s headquarters was signed between the Olympic Council of Asia and the Government of Kuwait.

Responsible persons of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan discussed cooperation issues with high-ranking officials of Kuwait and the OCA leadership. Agreements were reached to strengthen friendly ties further.
