The book “The Legends of Great Silk Road” by the famous writer, screenwriter, and public figure Gulchekhrabegim Makhmudova was presented at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London.

The event was organized with the assistance of the Tumaris Women’s Public Association in the UK and is aimed at promoting Uzbekistan’s cultural legacy and popularizing the civilizational significance of the Great Silk Road among a broad British audience.

Representatives of the Uzbek diaspora, cultural figures, and the local community attended the event. The participants noted the importance of such initiatives for strengthening cultural ties and international dialogue.

The book, published in English, is an artistic interpretation of the legends, historical events, and cultural traditions associated with the Great Silk Road. According to the author, the publication is designed to increase the world audience’s interest in Uzbekistan’s rich historical-cultural heritage.

The project became another step towards creating Uzbekistan’s positive image abroad and strengthening humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom.
