In 2020, the Almalyk MMC exported products worth $821 million 364 thousand, thereby fulfilling the designated plan by 101.4%.
Despite the global pandemic, the flagship of the domestic industry exceeded all production plans set for 2020. In particular, the export plans of the plant’s products were exceeded.
Last year, it was planned to export 80 thousand tons of copper cathodes. 93,580 tons of products were exported to China and Turkey.
Export of copper pipes also showed good results. 3,994 tons of copper pipes were exported to Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine. 53,462 tons of sulfuric acid were exported to neighboring Kazakhstan.
According to the Almalyk MMC, the demand for copper sulfate also increased. In 2020, 8,351 tons of copper sulfate were exported to Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Indonesia. 686 tons of this product were supplied to the Netherlands, the main buyer of metallic molybdenum, thereby fulfilling the planned obligations by 110.6%.
In 2020, 185,544 tons of Portland cement and cement were exported to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
