At a press conference today as part of the Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” (TITF 2024), representatives of the Eurasian Alliance of Mountain Resorts summarized the results of this international organization’s first year and a half of activity.

Secretary General of the Eurasian Alliance of Mountain Resorts Andrey Kukishkin spoke about the achieved results:

– This year, we again participated in the 29th Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road”, presenting the achievements of the Eurasian Alliance of Mountain Resorts. Such events are an essential element of the organization’s activities.

Our key goals are to open new directions in the tourism and hospitality industry, improve the quality and competitiveness of services, and elevate tourism culture to a higher level. To implement these tasks, we have established cooperation with the Amirsoy Resort in Uzbekistan.

The work is proceeding according to schedule. The main thing is that our partners and technical specialists confirm the feasibility of all our plans. They will be implemented soon, but there are still questions related to political decisions. For example, introducing an international ski pass (electronic pass), which will allow paying for services at resorts in different countries, requires the regulation of interstate money transfers. At the moment, this is complicated by sanctions and other restrictions. Still, we are actively working to eliminate this problem and continue developing cooperation with resorts in different countries. In October, we visited the only modern ski resort in Tajikistan – Safed Dara, where we held successful negotiations with the leadership and are now working out the details of cooperation.

In addition, an important event was the accession of a South Korean resort to our alliance. This is a truly significant achievement since South Korea has a warm climate and a ski season that lasts only two months. We have already signed a memorandum of intent to join and hope to conclude an official agreement in the near future. This event has increased our international status and attracted the attention of other resorts.

In addition to humanitarian initiatives such as training, advanced training, and exchange of experience, we are also actively developing the commercial direction. The Alliance can become a reliable partner for suppliers of equipment, materials, and other resources, which will open up new opportunities for all participants.
