The Embassy of Uzbekistan in London hosted a presentation by Miljana Radivojevic, a researcher at the Institute of Archaeology at the University College London, on the results of her research on prehistory of formation of the Great Silk Road, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The event was attended by scientists-archaeologists, historians, scientists, cultural figures, students of British universities, as well as representatives of the Uzbek diaspora.

In her speech Miljana Radivojevic noted the growing interest in the phenomenon of the Silk Road, which is manifested in publication of numerous books and scientific works on this theme, production of artistic and scientific-educational films, organization of exhibitions and expositions in famous museums and galleries.

In order to study this phenomenon, Miljana Radivojevic together with colleagues from Uzbekistan, plans to study the history of metal production in the country more deeply, including by visiting deposits in Uzbekistan and examining samples taken there.
