At the Central Asian Youth Forum, international, regional, and national experiences and approaches to protecting and promoting youth rights were discussed.

Considering that almost half Central Asia’s population is youth, the challenges associated with realizing their potential are significant.

With the participation of youth from Central Asian countries at a conference organized in Tashkent, the main problems that the younger generation faces in fully realizing their rights were discussed. Specific recommendations were put forward for youth policies in all countries to develop ways to improve the legal, administrative, and political framework for integrating youth rights.

It was emphasized that such a practical approach would make it possible to make a significant contribution to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Based on this, the final document of the international forum – the Central Asia Youth Rights Declaration was developed and discussed.

Participants expressed confidence that this vital document, which embodied the principal results and practical recommendations of the forum, will, in the future, serve as a solid basis for new efforts and advanced initiatives in protecting and promoting youth rights.
