For the first time in the history of the City of London, one of the world’s leading financial centers and an integral part of London, a festive event dedicated to Navruz was held.

The event was attended by over 150 participants, including representatives of the British government, members of Parliament, executives and officials from local and international companies, banks, financial institutions, and members of the diplomatic corps.

The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alastair King, opened the celebration. Congratulating attendees on the occasion of Navruz, he emphasized its profound historical and cultural significance, highlighting Navruz as a symbol of renewal, unity, and peace.

In their speeches, diplomatic representatives from Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan underscored the importance of Navruz in strengthening bonds between nations based on mutual respect, peace, and good neighborliness.

The cultural part of the event featured a concert by creative ensembles from Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. Notably, performances of melodies and songs on Uzbek national musical instruments by artistic masters created a delightful atmosphere for all present.

Additionally, the event included an exhibition showcasing Uzbek and Azerbaijani national crafts, traditional arts, and national cuisine.
