Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan Zayniddin Nizomkhodjayev visited Andijan region and got acquainted with preparations for the elections of deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and regional, district and city councils of people’s deputies.

The responsibility of the members of the election commission and the importance of observing the procedures established by the Election Code at all stages of the electoral process was emphasized during the conversation with commission members. Suggestions and recommendations were made regarding the formation of the list of voters.

The CEC Chairman became familiar with the conditions created in the press center at the territorial election commission and noted that the center's activities play an important role in ensuring the openness and transparency of the upcoming elections and providing citizens with prompt and reliable information.

The CEC Chairman also participated in workshops and trainings organized at Andijan State University and other organizations. In a conversation with coaches and members of polling stations, the importance of understanding and knowing the innovations in electoral legislation, necessary requirements for holding elections at the highest level was noted. It was also stressed that the elections scheduled for October 27 will be held in accordance with the renewed Constitution in conditions of strong parliamentarism and significant strengthening of the powers of local representative bodies. “E-saylov” new information system and its advantages were considered.
