The Ministry of Health with Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute and the Ibn Sino Public Foundation held the Sixth International Scientific and Practical Conference on “Abu Ali ibn Sina and innovations in modern pharmaceuticals” in Tashkent.

The event, organized to study and promote the rich scientific heritage of the outstanding scientist Abu Ali ibn Sina, who made a worthy contribution to the development of world medicine and pharmaceuticals, conducted scientific research in the field, was attended by about 300 local scientists, experts, doctors, pharmacists, chemists, biologists and foreign specialists from Belarus, Hungary, Germany, Israel, Korea, Russia, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Ukraine, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and India.

At the international conference, reports were presented on the innovative ideas of Abu Ali ibn Sina, his medical philosophy, his role in training traditional medicine specialists, his contribution to the development of dentistry, and his ethical views.

A unique collection of scientific abstracts of scientists from Uzbekistan and foreign specialists will be published after the conference.

“The Canon of Medicine” – Physicians’ Desk Reference
