On September 26, Uzexpocentre hosted the official opening ceremony of the Republican contest among students of Uzbekistan for developing the best government mobile app “mGovAward”.

The solemn event was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and the UAE delegation led by Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future of the United Arab Emirates Mohammad Abdulla Al Gergawi.

The contest, held in cooperation with UAE partners, aims to develop and strengthen the capacity of students in programming and mobile app development.

Students from any university can attend “mGovAward” contest. It is necessary to assemble a team of three or more people, apply on the official website of the contest, attaching a video and information, revealing the essence of idea or describing the purpose of the mobile app.

The prize fund of the contest is 100 thousand USD. This amount will be distributed among winners of the contest. The winner will receive 50 thousand USD, the second-place holder – 30 thousand USD, and the third place winner – 20 thousand USD.

Winners will be awarded on March 14, 2020.
