The Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan held an event on the occasion of the 27th Anniversary of the Constitution, in Tashkent.

Chairman of the Supreme Court K. Komilov noted that the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, adopted 27 years ago, took an important place in people’s life.

The basic law of the country is a high example of political and legal thinking of people. This document is the legal guarantor of independent, free and prosperous life.

Based on the constitutional principles, urgent tasks related to guaranteeing the rights and legitimate interests of citizens are waiting for their solution. Ensuring the execution of tasks outlined in the Action Strategy imposes a special responsibility on each judge and court employee.

At the event, the winners of “Justice in the rule of law” competition, held as part of the joint project “Cooperation in Uzbekistan in the rule of law” of the Supreme Court, the Creative Union of Journalists, the Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Nations Development Programme, were awarded.
