On April 5-9, Uzbekistan will host the 150th IPU Assembly, an essential historical event in the socio-political life of Uzbekistan.

This is the first time such an event has been held in the Central Asian region. The decision to hold it in Uzbekistan served as evidence of the growing authority and increasing recognition of Uzbekistan in the international arena.

The IPU Assembly is a vital platform for the advancement of international parliamentary cooperation and the exchange of legislative experience. Inter-parliamentary dialogue plays a crucial role in addressing the complex challenges facing the international community, including global security, human rights protection, climate change, sustainable development, and parliamentary cooperation.

Against the background of global changes in international relations, strengthening interparliamentary cooperation is becoming more important than ever. Uzbekistan actively participates in this process and proposes initiatives. It is expected that Uzbekistan’s proposals aimed at ensuring peace and stability will be considered.

The decisions of the 150th Assembly will serve to strengthen cooperation between the countries, expand inter-parliamentary ties, and coordinate efforts to ensure overall stability. The active participation of parliaments contributes to creating a robust legal framework, seeking solutions to global and regional problems, and fostering mutual trust and cooperation.

Uzbekistan strives to make a meaningful contribution to the international community’s efforts to ensure sustainable development and security through its initiatives.
