The Asian Judo Championship, organized by the International Judo Federation, together with the Judo Union of Asia, the Ministry of Culture and Sport Affairs of Uzbekistan, the National Olympic Committee, Uzbekistan Judo Federation, a number of ministries and departments, was attended by over 230 strongest judokas from more than 30 countries, competed for the victory and important rating points for a license at the XXXI summer Olympic games.
At the Asian Championship, our country represented Diyorbek Urozboev, Abdujalil Yusupov, Mirali Sharipov, Shahzod Sobirov, Yahyo Imomov, Sherali Juraev, Soyib Kurbanov, Ramziddin Saidov, Abdulla Tangriev, Mukaddas Kubeeva, Omongul Allanazarova, Gulnor Sulaymonova, Nodira Gulova, Diyoar Keldiyorova, Muhayo Ibragimova, Gulnoza Matniyozova, Kumush and Nodira Yuldosheva.
On the first day of the championship Diyorbek Urozboev (60 kg) won the silver medal and Mirali Sharipov (73 kg) - bronze.
