The Hokim of Surkhandarya region Ulugbek Qosimov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Uzbekistan Manfred Huterer.

At the meeting, a detailed exchange of views took place on the cooperation of the oasis with Germany in trade, economics, investment, tourism, education, migration, and other spheres. During the sincere dialogue, it was noted that there are still many untapped opportunities for further enhancing socio-economic, cultural, trade, and investment relations between Germany and Surkhandarya region. Implementing new projects in energy, tourism, agriculture, migration, and other areas jointly with German companies was also discussed.

As part of his trip to Surkhandarya region, Ambassador Manfred Huterer will meet with the leadership of Termez Free Trade and Economic Zone and get acquainted with the development projects of the city of Termez and regional centers, implemented with the financial support of the Termez Cargo Centre and the German bank KfW.
