A conference was held dedicated to the outcomes of the project “Supporting the Reform and Modernization of Uzbekistan’s Vocational Education System” (TexVET Karyera), implemented by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with GIZ.

This project, marking a new stage in helping young people choose modern professions, was launched in November 2023. Over the past period, trainings were organized for teachers and psychologists in schools and colleges, interactive materials and digital courses were created, and mentoring programs were developed in collaboration with employers. The prepared materials were also piloted in schools and colleges in Tashkent, Fergana, Samarkand, Kashkadarya regions, and the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The project engaged 496 school students, 288 college students, 263 teachers, and 366 representatives from the public and business sectors.

As noted at the event, TexVET Karyera contributes to shaping a systematic approach and professional orientation within the education sector, opening new pathways for secondary school students and their parents to explore career growth options and prepare for future life.
