On June 1-3 this year, Tashkent will host the largest economic conference for Uzbekistan and Austrian companies – “Austria Connect Central Asia’ under the theme “Rising Star Uzbekistan: New Opportunities along the Silk Road”.

The conference is organized by the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Austria, the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, the Austrian Trade Mission for Central Asia, as well as other agencies in Uzbekistan.

The event will be attended by more than 100 Austrian companies from neighboring regions (Central Asia and South Asia, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and others), which during various sessions of the events will be provided with information about economic potential, investment opportunities, legislation, fiscal policy and other important aspects of doing business in Uzbekistan.

The event aims to develop investment, trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Austria, conclude new investment and export agreements, as well as attract Austrian business entities that are in search of promising trading partners. 

As part of the Austrian business mission to Uzbekistan, it is also planned to organize G2B and B2B meetings, visit manufacturing enterprises of domestic manufacturers of export products and present investment projects. In addition, the Silk Road Biz Award ceremony will take place to reward the most active Austrian companies in the CIS region.
