Tashkent moves toward systemic modernization of road infrastructure

The practical implementation of the President’s resolution on modernizing the city’s transport system has begun in Tashkent. The specially established Traffic Management Center presented a presentation on measures aimed at reducing traffic congestion, improving the environment, and enhancing oversight of public transport operations.

According to Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration, large-scale work will begin soon to introduce intelligent traffic lights, update road markings, and establish a systematic organization of parking spaces.

According to her, the city authorities are expected to ensure the full and high-quality implementation of the assigned tasks. The Head of the Presidential Administration also emphasized that she will personally oversee the project’s implementation.

She expressed confidence that the city’s team will make the necessary efforts to successfully carry out the initiative, noting its importance for improving the quality of the urban environment and the capital's transport accessibility.

“I wish the team success in this very important and necessary project for the city”, Saida Mirziyoyeva added.
