Tashkent Medical Academy became the first among all medical higher education institutions of the country to be officially accepted as full member of the Association of Medical Schools in Europe.

On February 25, Tashkent Medical Academy became the first among all medical higher education institutions of the country to be officially accepted as full member of the Association of Medical Schools in Europe.

This significant event took place during a visit to the Academy of the Dean of Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University, Professor Algirdas Utku and participation of the delegation of Vilnius University in the Educational Forum organized jointly with Tashkent Medical Academy.

The certificate on the official acceptance of TMA into the membership of the European Association at the forum was awarded to the Rector of Tashkent Medical Academy, Professor Laziz Tuychiyev.

The official greeting of the Minister of Health of Lithuania to the forum participants was read out at the event.

Following the forum, the Partnership Agreement between Tashkent Medical Academy and Vilnius University was signed, which will become the basis for implementation of projects on improving the quality of medical education.
