Tashkent’s Mirzo Ulugbek Park hosted the Yoga Festival.

The Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Adham Ikramov, and the Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan, Smita Pant, attended the opening ceremony, who spoke about the role of yoga in achieving harmony between soul, body, and mind, and improving human health.

Employees of various enterprises and organizations in Tashkent, members of yoga centers, students and schoolchildren, residents and foreign guests, who performed several special exercises together, participated in the event.

This festival has been held regularly since 2019. In recent years, the number of people engaged in this useful practice has increased significantly, and yoga clubs have opened in various regions of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan’s yoga instructors in these clubs won 26 medals at the Second Asian Championships in New Delhi on April 25-27, 2025. This indicates the rapid development of yoga in Uzbekistan.
