On November 2, 2025, Tashkent hosted the 2025 ICPC Uzbekistan Regional Contest, the largest student programming competition in the country. The event was held at School 21 and brought together more than 600 participants from 32 universities in Uzbekistan.

ICPC (The International Collegiate Programming Contest) is an international sports programming competition that annually brings together over 73,000 students and 12,000 coaches from 3,400 universities in 103 countries.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, IT Park Uzbekistan, and ITPU, with the support of Uzcard and School 21, which served as platinum sponsors.

202 teams took part in the event this year, 80 of them represented the regions of Uzbekistan. This scale highlights the growing importance of IT education and human capital development in Uzbekistan.

According to the organizers, ICPC Uzbekistan 2025 has become an essential platform for supporting talented young programmers and forming a new generation of specialists capable of working with advanced technologies and creating innovative solutions.

According to the competition results, the Unexpected Ones team from Tashkent University of Humanities took first place. The Don’t Panic team from Tashkent University of Information Technology took second place, and the Three Dinosaur team from New Uzbekistan University took third place.

The winners of ICPC Uzbekistan will represent the country at the semi-finals of the ICPC World Championship. Before the semifinals, IT Park, together with its partners, will organize bootcamps and mentoring programs to develop algorithmic thinking and teamwork.

The 2025 ICPC Uzbekistan Regional Contest confirmed the country’s desire to strengthen its position in technological education and to form a new generation of specialists capable of contributing to the digital development of Uzbekistan.
