The 25th Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” has kicked off at Uzexpocentre.

The 25th Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” has kicked off at Uzexpocentre.

The event is organized by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development and National PR Center.

The event is aimed at creating an international platform for the exchange of experience, establishment of dialogue and joint efforts to promote and develop the cultural, historical and natural heritage of the Silk Road.

The fair is attended by companies from Korea, Egypt, Malaysia, India, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, China, Belarus, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates and other countries. Hotels, travel companies, higher education institutions are offering their services.

Exhibition stands of Uzbekistan regions are located in the National Pavilion, demonstrating the peculiarities of the national culture and tourism potential, as well as City of Artisans exposition.

The International Pavilion features stands of international transport companies, state organizations, diplomatic missions, tourist and resort destinations.

Oriental Bazaar, Silk Road Taste Festival of National Dishes, International Forum of Tourism Ambassadors to Uzbekistan, presentation of Shakhrisabz National Fashion Show, a workshop for artisans, and the first tourism forum of Uzbekistan and Russia will be held within the framework of the fair.

The Silk Road Tourism Fair will run until November 15.
