Tashkent hosted the First International Congress of People’s Diplomats of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The event brought together representatives of partner organizations from India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Türkiye, as well as deputies of the Oliy Majlis, employees of ministries and agencies, diplomatic corps and national cultural centers of Tashkent.

At the event, the results of recent people’s diplomacy work were summarized, and new areas of cooperation were identified. The participants discussed the possibilities of intercultural dialogue and exchange within the SCO and issues of multi-vector cooperation and cultural diplomacy based on international experience.

Following the event, expert recommendations were adopted to ensure and strengthen interethnic harmony, cooperation, and friendly relations between the SCO countries. The participants expressed readiness for joint initiatives to maintain peace, stability, and mutual understanding.

Tashkent hosted the First International Congress of People’s Diplomats of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
