The championship, organized by the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, National Olympic Committee and Uzbekistan Chess Federation was attended by athletes at the age of 6-20 from the UAE, India, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Iran, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

On the first day of the championship, chess players competed in rapid tournament. Uzbekistan’s players won 11 gold, 8 silver and 10 bronze medals.

In nine rounds of the championship, Madina Abdumannopova, Umida Omonova, Nilufar Yokubboyeva, Afruza Khamdamova, Olmos Rakhmatullayev, Samandar Shermukhammedov, Nodirbek Yokubboyev became gold medalists in classical chess. Uzbekistan’s athletes also won 5 silver and 7 bronze medals in this championship.

Ezozakhon Khasanova, Sitora Saparova, Umida Omonova, Umida Kurbanova were recognized as the best players among girls, while Ortik Nigmatov, Nodirbek Yokubboyev, Khumoyun Begmurodov, Samandar Shermukhammedov, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Shakhzod Islomov and Alikhon Avazkhonov – among boys.
