Tashkent hosted the awarding ceremony of academia, education institutions Scopus Award 2019 and the international forum “Research transformation: Global outlook”.
The event, organized by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Dutch company Elsevier, specializing in science, was attended by representatives of ministries and agencies, higher education institutions of Uzbekistan, leading international rating agencies Quacquarelli Symonds, Times Higher Education, and experts.
At the event, Uzbekistan’s scientists were awarded in almost 20 nominations, such as “Scientist of the Year”, “Best Researcher of the Year”, which shows the high dynamics of aspirations in this direction.
On the same day, within the framework of the National Development Program “Science 2020”, an international forum “Research transformation: Global outlook” was held at Tashkent State University of Law.
Master classes were held to include domestic higher education institutions in the list of leading international rating agencies.
Issues of preparation of documents for obtaining a patent, implementation of the results of scientific research, preparation of scientific articles based on the requirements and recommendations of Scopus journals, and effective management of scientific libraries were discussed.
