As part of Anti-Corruption Week, the 5th International Anti-Corruption Forum was held in Tashkent under the motto “From Discussions to Real Change”.

The event was organized by the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the support of major international partners, including the European Union, UNDP, GIZ, the U.S. Department of State, the OECD, the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, the OSCE, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, and the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Center of Qatar.

The forum brought together more than 250 participants, including representatives of foreign delegations, government bodies, civil society, and the media, as well as heads and representatives of anti-corruption agencies from over 20 countries, including Germany, Slovenia, Georgia, Lithuania, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Mongolia, Indonesia, and Azerbaijan, as well as local and international experts.

Chairman of the Senate Committee on Judicial-Legal Issues and Anti-Corruption Abdulhakim Eshmurodov, Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency Akmal Burkhanov, and others noted that Uzbekistan is undertaking systematic efforts to combat corruption.

As part of the forum, an initiative was proposed to host the 12th Session of the Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption in Uzbekistan in 2027. This initiative seeks to enhance the country’s role and authority on the international stage in the global fight against corruption.

During the constructive dialogue, specific proposals were developed to improve anti-corruption policy, increase the effectiveness of ongoing measures, and strengthen international cooperation.

The Declaration of the 5th Tashkent Anti-Corruption Forum was adopted.
