On the Zaamin State Reserve territory under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, white-headed vultures listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan were photographed during monitoring work.

The white-headed vulture is included in the Red List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Appendix II of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.

In recent years, up to 30 of these birds are on Akhangaran Reservoir, 46 on the Objasoy River (Kuramin Mountains), 70 in Dehkanabad, and 27 in the village of Tangi (Kugitangtau).

These birds are protected in mountain reserves and national parks. Hunting them is prohibited.
