Five years ago, 66,075 seedlings of early peach varieties valued at $245 thousand were imported from Greece to Termez.
During this time, the seedlings have adapted to the local climatic conditions, which yielded even more crops this year. These peaches are in high demand in Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries. These days, the orchards are harvesting and sorting crops, after which the fruits will be packed and shipped to foreign customers.

Last year, 11,200 tons of peaches worth almost $10 million were exported from the region to such countries as Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kuwait, and Mongolia. The peach harvest in the orchards is plentiful this year, which makes it possible to increase export volumes.
