Members of the delegation led by the Hokim of Surkhandarya region Ulugbek Qosimov are visiting Hungary and are negotiating with leading companies in this country.
On the first day of the visit, organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Hungary, an agreement was reached on implementing new projects in fish farming and plastic processing in Surkhandarya region with a total value of 37 million euros, and relevant documents were signed. Members of the delegation also got acquainted with the activities of the Rideg Fish Farm in the city of Homokmed.
The Hokim of the region, Ulugbek Qosimov, met with the Head of Csongrád-Csanád, László Salgó, and discussed issues of establishing interregional cooperation. A declaration of mutual partnership was signed. An agreement was reached with the renewable energy and construction industry cluster ArchEnerg to attract up to 500 thousand euros of investment for the use of solar, geothermal energy, and biomass processing, and a Memorandum of Cooperation was concluded between Jarkurgan district and the Hungarian city of Szeged.
At the meetings, prospects for retraining specialists in IT, importing livestock, milk processing, building a poultry complex, and implementing a cable car project were also outlined.
In two days, the delegation signed six memorandums of cooperation, and agreements were reached on implementing five investment projects worth $87.7 million.
