The Chess World Cup 2025 has kicked off in Goa.

Nodirbek Abdusattarov, Javokhir Sindorov, Nodirbek Yoqubboyev, and Shamsiddin Vohidov are defending Uzbekistan’s honor in the championships.

The matches consist of two games in the classical chess style. The chess player with the most points advances to the next stage. If the forces are equal, a tie-break will be organized between the chess players.

Shamsiddin Vohidov won the 1/128 World Cup finals and qualified for the next stage.

The World Cup, with a $2 million prize fund, will run until November 26.
