Victors and prize winners of these prestigious competitions were met at the Tashkent International Airport by representatives of sports community, fans and media workers.

As a result of the huge attention paid under the leadership of President Islam Karimov to the steadfast development of sports, athletes of our country extensively demonstrate the whole world that they are not inferior to anyone in strength and skills, that they regularly make high accomplishments at continental and world championships, Asian and Olympic Games.

In cycle track race, our experienced athlete Vladimir Tuichiev earned a gold medal in team competitions and silver in single competitions at the Asian Cup that took place with the participation of the most formidable cyclists from some thirty nations of our continent.

Dilmurod Siddikov got awarded with silver and bronze medals, while Ekaterina Knebeleva earned two bronze medals. In women’s individual races, Alla Bezuglova has won gold.

In team competitions, our national team comprising Vladimir Tuichiev, Sergei Medvedev, Timur Gumirov and Ruslan Fedorov rose to the third level of podium.
