Spanish tourists’ interest in Uzbekistan is noticeably increasing

Uzbekistan is strengthening its position as one of the most promising tourist destinations for European travelers. Spanish tourists’ interest in the country is growing noticeably, Agenttravel reports.

According to the publication, Uzbekistan is among the most sought-after destinations, along with Albania and Georgia, which are increasingly being chosen by tourists seeking to discover new routes beyond traditional European destinations.

Experts attribute Uzbekistan’s growing popularity to a unique combination of rich historical and cultural legacy, the exoticism of Central Asia, and improved transport accessibility. The active development of flights to Europe, including the launch and expansion of direct flights from Spain, which greatly simplified travel arrangements, became a key factor.

Against this background, there is a steady increase in the inbound tourist flow. Uzbekistan is increasingly included in cultural and educational tour programs along the Great Silk Road routes. Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva are gradually emerging as independent travel brands known for authenticity, historical depth, and high hospitality standards.

According to the tourism industry experts, the country has significant potential to strengthen its position in the international market. While maintaining the pace of infrastructure development, actively promoting abroad, and supporting air transportation, Uzbekistan can consolidate its status as one of the key new tourist discoveries for European travelers.
