President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has departed for Surkhandarya region to get acquainted with the development of the regional economy and the implementation of important social programs.

The visit has a busy program. It is planned to become acquainted with projects in gas processing, hydropower, the leather industry, agriculture, and entrepreneurship. In the social sphere, special attention will be paid to drinking water supply, the mahalla system, healthcare, and youth affairs.
