President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Tashkent’s Tepakurgan mahalla in Uchtepa district.
The Head of the state in his Address to the Oliy Majlis noted the importance of implementing reforms, organizing work in the context of mahallas. Officials have been tasked with studying the situation, finding the growth points and implementing them, first of all, in mahallas.
The Tepakurgan mahalla was arranged according to the same principle. There are 30 multi-storey buildings, 6,150 people live here. There are two preschool education institutions with 100 places and one specialized boarding school. Children’s playgrounds are equipped, conditions for sports are created.
Mahalla youth and women work in 40 small business entities. Recently, the Euroasia Print printing house was built here. It employs more than 60 people. Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activity of the enterprise.
Plans for the development and increasing jobs in the service sector in the city of Tashkent were presented.
During a conversation with mahalla residents, representatives of the older generation told how, with a feeling of gratitude, they fasted in the month of Ramadan, prayed for peace and prosperity in the country.
“It is this feeling of gratitude, the understanding that prosperity comes with honest labor, we need to convey to our people, youth. You are convinced of this yourself by the example of your mahalla. As you can see, anything is possible if you try. The most solid foundation for such transformations is peace and tranquility in our country. We need to appreciate this, to make each mahalla so beautiful and neat. The satisfaction of the people is achieved not with pompous words, but with work”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The Head of the state also got acquainted with the activities of the center for teaching foreign languages.
