As part of the official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, the Uzbekistan delegation, which included representatives of Mikrokreditbank and businesswomen led by the Chairperson of the Family and Women’s Committee, Zulaykho Mahkamova, held several productive meetings. Documents on the expansion of bilateral cooperation in women’s entrepreneurship were signed.

The visit was organized with the assistance of the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Development e.V. and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany. It aims to develop partnerships to support women entrepreneurs, establish direct contacts with German institutions and foundations, and exchange experiences in financial literacy and business management.

The Uzbekistan delegation held talks with representatives of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the Rural Women’s Association, the Savings Banks Finance Group (Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe), and other relevant organizations. In addition, they became familiar with the activities of several banking structures.

Following the visit, important agreements were signed. In particular, Mikrokreditbank, Hamroh, and Sparkassenstiftung Foundation have planned to launch joint programs to improve women’s financial literacy, develop business planning skills, and assist in obtaining targeted loans. In addition, the documents provide for the implementation of educational programs and financing mechanisms, including grants and subsidized credit lines.

An agreement was also signed between Hamroh and West-Östliche Begegnungen Foundation, aimed at developing intercultural dialogue, promoting women’s leadership, and increasing women’s participation in socio-political processes.

According to the participants, the agreements will create a solid foundation for the sustainable development of women’s entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan and strengthen international partnerships in the socio-economic sphere.
