The second meeting of the Uzbekistan – Russia Regional Council, held in Moscow region, was aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The Russian delegation was headed by Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, while the Uzbekistan delegation was led by Jamshid Khodjayev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event reaffirmed the high level of strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries. Currently, 14 regions of Uzbekistan maintain stable partnerships with over 50 regions of the Russian Federation, and the total portfolio of joint projects exceeds $6.2 billion.
The participants focused on expanding trade and economic cooperation, industrial collaboration, agricultural partnerships, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges. They also discussed the development of e-commerce, the establishment of joint industrial enterprises, the creation of a network of wholesale distribution centers, and the introduction of a dual education system to train specialists in demand across both economies.
Following the meeting, over 30 agreements were signed between the regions of Russia and Uzbekistan, covering trade and economic, scientific and technical, and humanitarian spheres.
