A special media dialogue was organized within the framework of the SCO Media Cooperation Forum, which is taking place in Ürümqi, the administrative center of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in northwestern China.

Further deepening cooperation between the leading mass media of the SCO Member States to build a community of common destiny and strengthening innovative development towards jointly creating a prosperous future were discussed at the event.

The participants of the media dialogue, including the heads of ministries and agencies, leading news agencies, major media outlets, and media structures of the member countries, observers, and dialogue partners of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, exchanged views on current issues on the agenda.

The opening ceremony of the Youth Camp for Intercultural Exchange of the SCO Member States took place within the framework of the event. Students from Uzbekistan studying in China were among the participants.
