On 15-17 September this year, Samarkand will host an international competition “Challenge Samarkand” in triathlon and Uzbekistan championship in sprint. In this regard, a meeting was held on the organization of these competitions.

At the event, with the participation of the Deputy Hokim of Samarkand region R. Kobilov and the Secretary General of Uzbekistan Triathlon Federation Y. Kun, the implementation of the planned tasks for organizing competitions was discussed. At the meeting, responsible persons of organizations and institutions attached to the operational headquarters for the competitions reported on the implemented work.

On 10-11 June this year, international competitions “2023 Asia Triathlon Cup Samarkand” and the Uzbekistan Championship were held in Samarkand. At the meeting, the shortcomings made in their course were discussed in detail. Opinions were expressed on holding the upcoming competitions without such mistakes. Participants focused on ensuring safety on the tracks where the competitions will be held. Instructions were given on the organization of explanatory work among the population.

The tasks of responsible persons for the work to be carried out in the main places of the competition – on the Samarkand Rowing Canal and in the International Tourist Center “Great Silk Road” were defined.
